UP News: Yogi government will form SCR in UP on the lines of Delhi NCR, these districts can be included including Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region (UP SCR) will also be formed on the lines of National Capital Region (NCR). It may include seven districts including Lucknow and Kanpur. In view of the increasing pressure of population, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed its need for the planned development of cities. It has been directed that a proposal in this regard should be prepared soon. Along with this, he has also asked to prepare a proposal for the second phase of Lucknow Metro Rail in a week
CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the Housing and Urban Planning Department, Housing and Development Council and all urban development authorities through video conferencing held at his official residence on Friday. He said that due to continuous-coordinated efforts, the capital Lucknow is today being equipped with state-of-the-art urban facilities in the form of a metropolitan city.
People from different cities want to come here and make their permanent residence. The pressure of population is increasing in the surrounding districts as well and complaints of unplanned development are also received at times. In such a situation, keeping in view the future requirement, Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region should be formed on the lines of National Capital Region (NCR). Lucknow as well as Unnao, Sitapur, Rae Bareli, Barabanki, Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat can be included in this state capital region.
CM Yogi directed that a detailed action plan should be presented as soon as possible after studying and discussing all the aspects. After the formation of this area, its area will be about 28 thousand square kilometers and population will be more than 2.52 crores.
CM also gave instructions regarding Lucknow Metro. Said that the service of Metro in Lucknow is very much liked by the general public. Before the Kovid period, about 72000 passengers were traveling in the metro every day. Now again the number of passengers has increased. In view of this, prepare a proposal for the next phase of the metro and submit it in a week. He also directed for revitalization of wetland in Lucknow Green Corridor, Lucknow Municipal Corporation boundary extension, Butler Lake and CG City.
World class convention center to be built in Lucknow
Yogi has said that in view of the importance of capital Lucknow, there is a need for a well equipped convention center here. The convention center should be such that it can host world class events. Prepare necessary proposals in this regard while deciding the land selection, format etc., targeting a huge campus of at least 35 acres. Along with this, the need to increase the utility of Awadh Shilpgram was told. Said that events like MSME, skill development, Hunar Haat should be organized here in fifteen days. Awas Vikas Parishad should try to make Avadh Shilpgram and Kakori Shaheed Smriti Udyan more attractive with dynamic facade lighting.
Land mafia is not accepted, strict action will be taken
The Chief Minister bluntly told the officers that the possession of a poor in the state cannot be accepted at all. With the policy of zero tolerance against the land mafia in the authorities and urban bodies, the strictest action will continue continuously. Every complaint of illegal possession of land, be it government or private, will be dealt with with utmost sensitivity and prompt action. He directed that all the authorities, local bodies should ensure that illegal settlements, residential colonies should not be established anywhere under any circumstances. Every colony should have all the necessary facilities
Development plan of 13 cities will be made
The Chief Minister has sought development plans from 13 cities. These include Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Jhansi, Mathura, Bareilly, Meerut, Agra, Chitrakoot, Varanasi and Prayagraj. At the same time, under the Leeds- 2021 policy, directions have been given to prepare the urban logistics plan of Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Meerut soon
Ayodhya will give message of solar energy to the world
The Chief Minister directed that work should be done expeditiously on the action plan to develop Ayodhya as a solar city. This effort will give a unique identity to Ayodhya on the global stage. The whole world will get the message of energy conservation from Ayodhya. The works related to murals, ramkatha gallery, open air theater at historical places should be completed on time. Cultural mapping of Ramayana tradition should be done. Similarly, Ramayana galleries should be constructed on the path of Ram Van Gaman. The work of rejuvenation, conservation operation and maintenance of eight kunds including Brahmakund, Sandhya Kund, Manumuni Kund, Vidya Kund, Agni Kund, Sitakund, Dasharatha Kund, Khajua Kund should be completed at the earliest. There should also be facility of water purification by Vedic method
Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority will be expanded
The Mathura Vrindavan Development Authority has plans to expand it to include the area of Gokul and Baldev. Yogi asked to prepare a formal proposal. At the same time, devotees will soon be able to get ropeway facility for the darshan of Radharani in Barsana. Directed to complete this important project by December this year
Ropeway in Kashi soon
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the ropeway to be built from Cantt railway station in Kashi to the church will give a unique urban transport system to the common man. Start this project with top priority.
The Chief Minister also gave instructions
- The common man should not have to worry for small needs like passing the map of the building, depositing the fee. For this development authorities will have to simplify their working style.
- In the colonies developed by the Urban Development Authority which have not yet been transferred to the Municipal Corporations, it is the responsibility of the Authority to provide basic facilities to the common man.
- The situation of the next 50 years should be kept in mind while deciding the development projects. The master plan should contain a complete blueprint of the planned development.
- Town planner should be posted in every development authority, urban body. Authorities will also have to seriously consider doing financial management for their projects on their own.
- Rain water harvesting should be encouraged in all residential, private, government buildings within the limits of the authority. Prepare and present a clear manual in this regard.
- In the proposed Global Investors Summit in January 2023 to attract more investors to invest in the real estate sector, present the new policy of Integrated Township by the end of this month.
