The New York Times, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that even after the FBI began executing a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago on August 8, investigators have sought additional surveillance footage from the club.
People familiar with the matter said it was the second such demand for the club’s security tapes, and underlined that officials were still investigating how classified documents were handled by Trump and his staff prior to the search.
Sputnik, citing court filings, reported that Trump demanded a special master to review evidence taken by the FBI during the raid, as well as a detailed receipt for the seized assets.
Trump’s lawyers argued Monday that the former president should be given more detail of documents recovered from his home and alleged that the FBI and Justice Department had been treating him “wrongly” for a long time. .
